I moved 9 full black/yellow Costco totes and a 55-inch TV from Bay Area California to Cabanas de Tavira, Portugal. I purchased the U100 crate. UPakWeShip was very responsive throughout the process. Their instructions and videos for packing/preparation were very clear. Constructing the palletized box was easy. I did everything myself. Pickups were timely. Transit times were accurate (2.5 months). I airtagged half the totes and they reflected the entire journey. Portuguese delivery was a little hectic, but I expected that. I was supposed to get a 24 hour notice, but they called and said they were 15 minutes away. I emailed UPakWeShip coordinator who was ready to intercede on my behalf. Was it worth it? Absolutely yes! I could have bought another plane ticket and paid extra baggage fees, but it would have come out about the same in cost. I didn’t have to fill out a baggage request and everything cleared customs. I included receipts for all of my electronics, and I taped them onto my box and onto each electronic device and computer to show I owned them for more than a year.
The Service UPakWeShip provided to us was great! The only thing for me that should be better or easier is the way to upload and download the needed documents. Eventually we got everything straight.Meanwhile we got great people (John, Austen, James, Courtney,) to help us answer questions and guide us through the stressful process of moving.The Crate got through Customs without problems. It's very important to follow the instructions on filling up the required paperwork.We received the Crate short of 11 weeks from the time they picked it up in PA, USA. They usually offer 6 to 8 weeks time frame, Three weeks past the offering window is not bad at all, considering that those Crates are shipeded as "Less than Container Load (LCL).Meaning that the time to fill a shared container is not in UPakWeShip control, but rather the time it takes to sell all the space in the container our Crate is loaded. Otherwise the cost to ship would much larger. Bottom line, I am very happy with their service and would use them again and or recommend.
In January of this year we moved from MA to Portugal and we used UPakWeShip to ship a pallet of our belongings. In December we built a crate on a pallet and loaded it up with bins, beer tanks, clothes, some art and kitchenware, and all the other essentials. It arrived in March in the exact same condition as we packed it. Nothing was broken! They even held it for an extra week until we could close on our new home. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to use them and are even considering sending a second pallet. Highly recommend for a cost efficient and streamlined way of shipping a pallet to Portugal.
For our move from California to England, we got several shipping quotes. At the end it came down to three factors: price, a preference to pack our own boxes, and a solid online presence by UPakWeShip that helped me understand the whole process before booking. Our shipment took 2.5 months to arrive, and we received consistent updates about our shipment arriving at different ports, clearing customs etc. All the contents are intact, and the independent delivery company that they used for the last mile also had a good website and tracking system. I would use UPakWeShip again.
Great service, and excellent communication/execution from the first contact to the final delivery moving from the USA, TN to a tiny village in France (with a UPAK 100 via sea freight). Crate was easy to set up with a short ladder. All materials were included and of good quality (sturdy cardboard walls/bottom/top, pallet, tape, straps and thick plastic hood). I added a plastic wrap just in case. Please follow their advice to test pack and assemble all items in your house because it helps a lot with the real crate. It took 2 ½ months from pickup to delivery (over Xmas and new year). Considering the crate was handled by at least 4..5 parties it arrived in perfect condition like it left my house (see last two photos). Thanks to Austen Butler, Izabela Konieczna, and James Read. I highly recommend UPakWeShip.
Our 200 cubic foot crate was shipped in the second week of August from the U.S. to Italy and arrived on December 27, due to Covid it took a little longer than expected however during the whole process communication and responsiveness was excellent. When arriving at customs our items (38 bins, boxes) were removed from the crate and delivered in perfect condition at our home without of showing any abuse. Considering the fact that our items went halfway around the world a much better experience than we had on previous moves within the U.S. .
We had an effortless experience. There was only one minor concern when our State side rep wasn’t particularly forthcoming with the information we felt we needed and wasn’t prompt enough with responding to our emails. However, prior to that brief interaction and after, the whole process has been an outstanding experience for us. Our 2x 100 u crates were picked up in Oregon Dec 7 and delivered to our storage unit in Bury UK March 11, which was something we expected. Price, communication, assistance and quality of care leads me to offer the 5 stars. I wouldn’t hesitate to use these folks again should the need arise.
After extensive research and checks, we chose UPakWeShip for the job, and it does say it all, in a single word. It was quite an adventure, thoroughly planed 4 months before the move. How can one move 1.7+ metric ton of private / precious belongings from Eastern USA TO EU, with minimal paperwork / hassle, at a reasonable cost, and with the best chance to recover it eventually, in decent shape …?
There were a few questions and uncertainties (ours only. mostly at initial stages) along the way, but in the end 3 months (Apr – Jun) is all it took to pack, stack, [ship, vessel, custom clear, truck deliver] and recover our goods, nothing missing nor broken!! the UPakWeShip US Team (ask for Austen Butler who answers all questions and facilitates at great lengths) and then the EU Teams (ask for James Read: methodical from ship tacking, offloading, clearing and down to the last mile) indeed qualify as smooth orchestrated door to door pro-active service. The U100 pallet system (we packed 2) is the way to go, we used self stackable sturdy plastic boxes, (stacked 5 high) * 2 per 100 pallet, so a total of 20 boxes from 60 to 40 lbs each, heavier at bottom, with still room to spare for odd-shaped / fillers. This system can’t be bested and we will / would use it again.

There are an overwhelming number of international moving companies that do a variety of tasks…if you are happy to pack your own things then I can recommend UPakWeShip..Their website is self explanitory..what you get..how much it costs and what you have to do providing photo and video guidance of how to pack etc. The whole process went very smooth and if you did have a question there was always someone to answer the phone to help. I would certainly use this company again and recommend them highly.If money is no concern and you want to leave everything to someone else then that is the way to go..however if you are prepared ti do your own packing and loading into the box or crate then this is the way to go to save thousands. I haven’t unpacked my crates yet but they look in good condition with no obvious damage or problems.

We used UPakWeShip to send a pallet of our personal belongings from the USA to the UK. From start to finish the service they provided was fantastic. When we were preparing to move internationally I expected the logistics of shipping our belongings would be a disaster of epic proportions. I found UPakWeShip online and found their rates to be way more affordable than other companies. We decided to go with them after having a few questions answered, and I’m so happy we did. They were easy to work with and accommodating. We lived in Oregon, and when I was scheduling the pick-up, I was told I might want to reconsider pickup on a Friday because the company is headquartered on the east coast, so if pickup didn’t happen before 2pm Pacific, they couldn’t help me if something went wrong. Smart. The timelines went exactly as they specified, and we had no issues getting our stuff abroad and dropped off. We even had to change the drop off address halfway through and there still wasn’t an issue. I couldn’t be happier with the service we were provided. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to move abroad.

Got an excellent quote to send my possessions to Poland; it was entirely reasonable. They picked up my boxes at my home, and emailed me when my packages were shipped out. I also got notice when the packages arrived in the EU, and finally, they arrived in Poland. It all probably took about a month, which is amazing. My possessions all arrived in excellent condition. Karlee was lovely to work with and very fast at communicating via email. All in all, I had a great experience using UPakWeShip to ship my things.

LA to London. The team at UPakWeShip were very helpful from start to finish during the process of me shipping my belongings from Los Angeles to the UK. Natalie in the United States helped me every step of the way with paperwork, while Louise and Fran were excellent at keeping me up to date at the progress of my shipment and the date of arrival. All the goods arrived safe and sound with no damage. The only thing I was not aware of was that the courier company who delivered in the UK would not take the pallet and box away with them, so I had to find a means of disposing of that which would have been good to know in advance. I would still definitely recommend the service to friends.

A new experience shipping personal items across the Atlantic but after research we decided on 2 x UCrate100 from UPakWeShip. My contact in the USA was Alicia Hawk and she was nothing short of “AMAZING”. She assisted me throughout the whole process – (even though at times I was being a pain!) – including help with the completion of the “nasty” forms and labels. The crates were collected on time and then I started worrying again! No need. Fran Read in the UK was in contact and like her colleague in the USA was AMAZING in her service delivery. The crates arrived two hours early with no dents or visible damage and when opened there was all our “stuff” exactly as it was packed 4500 miles away. I rarely go over the top with praise but this whole process was beyond my expectations. GOOD JOB.

I was really pleased to find UPakWeShip and the Ucrate50 – it was the perfect size for what we wanted to transport. UPakWeShip got back to me straight away with a quote that was really reasonable com-pared to what I had seen online previously………..and no other company seemed to want to come to Central America to pick up our parcel, they only wanted to know if you were on the East Coast. Alicia was excellent and replied to me so quickly when I had a query…..which was hardly ever because the instructions they sent for the package were so clear anyway. My crate was delivered to me within a couple of days, then picked up when I asked. It reached the desti-nation in perfect condition within 8 weeks. Alicia Hawk, in my opinion, went above and beyond. I’m a hairstylist, so to begin with, paperwork is not my strong suit. As a result, I called and emailed a lot for clarification and Alicia was very patient with me until I was clear on the steps and checked to make sure all was in order. From their part, to the company who picked up the box, the constant updates on the transport progress, the company in Rotterdam who received the box sent clear instructions and were also incredibly easy to work with, so received an email with the estimated delivery date and was promptly called by the company here in Portugal to coordinate the actual delivery. Considering how incredibly involved the process of moving across the world is, everyone involved in the door-to-door transport of my belongings were great and made the process as smooth as possible, 8 weeks to the day. I couldn’t ask for more. Except maybe an unpack and organize service, but that’s another subject entirely!

Just used UPakWeShip to move from Maryland to Switzerland (using the 100 box), and have to hand it to Alicia and the team for their responsiveness and transparency. I had concerns after some negative re-views online but I have to say they turned out to be unfounded. Alicia was super responsive, with most emails getting answers within 1-2 hours and the pickup/delivery process was as smooth as possible. My things took about 8 weeks to arrive on my doorstep in my new home, in exactly the condition they were packed in, for the same flat price that was quoted at the beginning, with no additional charges along the way. If I have to move in the future, UPakWeShip will be my first call.

How nerve wracking is it to move halfway across the world?! UPakWeShip made it easy! Beforehand they gave us an estimated price, and that was it. No surprises along the way. Alicia gave us a step by step plan, and the paperwork was done before we knew it. We used the door to door service with U-crate 50 from Kansas to Europe. During the shipment we could follow our box with a tracking code. The communication was great too. Whenever we had a question, they helped us out. Even the delivery went surprisingly. I moved from the UK to Finland, and a year later after my job contract expired I moved back. I found UPakWeShip on internet among other companies during my first move to Finland. I recently used EuroUSA Shipping to ship 4 pallets of household items from Austria to Denver. I don’t usually write letters like this but the service we received from Chris Corder was exceptional and I felt I needed to share my experience. From our first contact for a quote thru to the final delivery, Chris was not only always available to answer our questions and give us updates but he always responded within about an hour or less. Our final delivery was the day before Thanksgiving and despite being on vacation, Chris continued to organize our final payment and delivery instructions thus preventing a potential delay resulting from the holidays. We have used other forwarders in the past which have always resulted in long delays and additional costs. After having used your service for our last move, we will only use EuroUSA for all of our future moves.

From beginning to end, the entire process was not the simplest from my side logistically, however this was all made easy. The flexibility shown from the start, and constant changing of my requirements was always dealt with professionalism and great courtesy. Even with various hurdles thrown in, including excess storage, changing of dates, and customs, the assistance provided was top draw, and to top it off, the prices quoted were amazing, and around 50% cheaper than everywhere else I checked. I have just received my shipment from the US to Australia. It was delivered directly to my residence with no added fees. I wish to commend UPakWeShip on a very courteous and fair dealings. I can heartily endorse this company for their work and wish to bear testament that they actually follow through on the price quoted from drop off to delivery. There were no hidden charges no changes in price just the price quoted and adjusted for fair treatment of the packaging (cubic size). I have dealt with another company for shipment and they under priced this company on the first go around. They made up for it with additional fees and charges for destination delivery. Not this company. All my goods were undamaged in original containers with no sign of tampering. I just wanted to follow up with your regarding our shipment from Houston to Malmo in August/September. I wanted to say how pleased we were with the arrival and care of the shipment once it made it to Malmo due to Stefan’s services. In particular the local moving company ‘Acta Flytt’ and the two staff members – Jocke and Carlos, were exceptional when it came to the arrival and local delivery of our household goods. They even brought it into our apartment and when I asked what I could do to help they said ‘just relax and supervise’ – this was a really welcome sentiment at the end of our international move. Stefan, if you could forward our positive feedback to ‘Andreas’ at Acta I would appreciate it. Stephanie, when the container arrived in the Acta parking lot after its long journey we were there anxiously observing it being opened. When they opened the still sealed container – it was almost perfect! The car hadn’t moved, all of the boxes and furniture hadn’t moved either. There was just some minor scratches on the gas cover of the car which were the result of where I had decided to place my kayak (the only last minute decision I made too, it goes to show the importance of planning! Thank you all for the high levels of service you provided. After extensive research into the world of international shipping and hearing about so many negative experiences it is even more significant to say we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience.

I’m in the middle of a short-notice move USA to Europe (with a UBox). So far the UPak staff has been incredibly professional and helpful, and took out a lot of the stress. I was really nervous about having to organize everything so fast, but with UPak it was much easier. Other moving companies I spoke to before deciding weren’t nearly as uncomplicated and clear. Alicia is the best! She answers my many questions fast and super-nice, and everyone makes sure you feel taken care of. We moved a 20 foot container from the SLC,USA to Auckland, New Zealand, to be honest I was a little hesitant to pack and ship myself. I had quotes from the “big” removal company’s saying how difficult it was to move international with a “pack it yourself” with customs etc but I rolled the dice and won. The cost was 1/3 the price and I had my items door to door 4 weeks exactly. All shipping agents and drivers were helpful and responded to questions and queries quickly which put my mind at ease. As you know, other shipping companies often harang you after initial contact and, since I chose to go with you, I made a list to help me inform them (when they call) as to why I chose EuroUSA. I thought I’d send it to you for your encouragement. Why I chose EuroUSA
1. EuroUSA didn’t ask for deposits or payment instalments, but were simply content as long as I make the payment prior to the container departure date
2. With the exception of OSI, EuroUSA offered the most competitive rate, but were the only company to assure me that I wouldn’t have to pay more than they quoted (unless I took more than two hours to load/unload, or some freakish event happened)
3. EuroUSA were one of the few companies that didn’t continue to pressure me after initial contact
4. EuroUSA were one of the few companies, if not the only one, not to slander any of the other companies
5. EuroUSA’s website is very professional (yet personal) and extremely detailed so that I knew what I was dealing with
6. The EuroUSA representative that I spoke to initially was very transparent, and British!

We shipped 300 cubic feet in a shared container to Australia. Great communication and helped us with the process step by step. Alicia Stout was especially helpful. I also liked that there were no unexpected charges and that the price was very reasonable. They also helped us with dealing with Australian side of things, which was very needed since there was a delay on this side. Would use them again. Thanks!

I just want to give you some feedback that the move went great. I have all my belongings to include my vehicle. Nothing is broken so far except the 2 crystal pieces I dropped taking out the box! Drivers were both outstanding and right on time at both ends. Thank you for all your assistance. I definitely think this is the way to move and will always recommend your service to others. Again, thank you for everything.

We just would like to say thank you very much for an excellent service from all of you. The move for us from the US to UK has been very smooth and with all your help and constant communications, we’re very much aware of where and how are goods are doing. You’re all very helpful as well when dealing with customs queries and we can honestly say our goods have all arrived in the UK in full and intact and the boxes are in very good condition same as it left the US. I am writing to let you that all our stuff arrived in Nelson this past week. You and your company made a huge difference in helping us get to New Zealand swiftly and easily. Everyone we dealt with was professional, polite and offered excellent service. Esme in Christchurch took great care of us and we found movers in Nelson that worked with TransWorld in Christchurch to move our things up the island. MAF customs inspection worked out perfectly (they examined 13 boxes) and all our possessions arrived in good shape. I am not sure it would have been so smooth if we had not engaged your services. Thanks for all the help with paperwork and all the other bits that were necessary. Please use us as a reference in future if you need to. I would be delighted to share our experience.

Last November my Mom used your company to arrange a shipment for me from the States. She accidentally made errors on some of the paperwork so once the shipment arrived in England I was required to fill in some additional documents. I have a new baby and things are a bit of a busy mess these days……..I was very delayed in responding to your team and in returning the documents. I admit to even forgetting about it at one point (sleep deprivation!) and I even made a late payment to my outstanding invoice. I just wanted to tell you that throughout all of the process, despite my errors and delays, the staff at EuroUsa treated me with an amazing amount of patience, understanding and politeness.
