Port Congestion in Europe
According to an article in Transporto Europa, port congestion in northern Europe has continued to increase during June, especially in Rotterdam. As a result, many ships are diverting to Antwerp and not calling Rotterdam. Antwerp-Bruges is also under strain with big delays. The congestion has had a knock-on effect on German ports with increased waiting times in Hamburg and Bremerhaven so really all ports in Europe are congested which is resulting in shipping delays.
Please be prepared for longer than average transit times during this port congestion.
The congestion is predicted to continue until the end of the year unfortunately but UPakWeShip will keep you informed.
